04 Apr Miller Diversified Teams Up With Habitat For Humanity
Estimated Read Time: 2 Minutes
In March, some of our crew from construction and commercial realty volunteered their time to help out Habitat For Humanity with one of the houses they are currently working on. The future homeowner is a single mother with children. This project is a rehab home that will be renovated up to code along with the safety and health of the family in mind.
Project Details
Miller Diversified’s Construction Project Coordinator, Cassie Kaptur-Easterwood, led the Miller Diversified team. “We were finishing the final tasks of demo inside the house” Cassie said about the work our team was helping to complete. “Our team helped keep the project on schedule for re-framing to start the following Monday!” Cassie previously worked as the Project Manager for Habitat For Humanity prior to coming on board with Miller Diversified Construction.
Chris Murphy, Commercial Sales & Leasing Agent for Miller Diversified Realty, is pictured above demoing some old tile in the home. Chris said about his experience, “We had a great time with Habitat for Humanity. Cassie worked hard to coordinate participants – plus, they have a wonderful mission.” It’s Habitat’s mission that made it such an easy choice for our staff at Miller Diversified to volunteer their time. At Miller Diversified, whether our work is in commercial real estate, property management, investments, or construction, we’ve dedicated ourselves to building value and enriching lives across generations. This goal aligns seamlessly with the mission of Habitat For Humanity:
“…We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. When a family helps build or improve a place they can call home, they are also building a better community, a better life for themselves…”
Brooke Miller, Commercial Sales & Leasing Agent for Miller Diversified Realty, was thrilled to have the chance to join the team for this project. “It was an incredible opportunity to spend valuable time with co-workers/teammates while serving our local Toledo community,” stated Brooke. “I am grateful we had the chance to be a small piece of this larger puzzle that will make such a large impact on the lives of a family. It shows the heart of our construction and realty teams.”
We look forward to future opportunities to serve our community! If you would like to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, visit their website to learn more.
