06 Dec Warehouse Construction for Amplex Completed Ahead of Schedule & Under Budget
Estimated Read Time: 1 Minutes
Our commercial construction crew recently wrapped up a 12,000 SF warehouse for Amplex Internet for owner Mark Radabaugh. The building includes a meeting room, some cubicle space, locker room, and restrooms. The warehouse is adjacent to Amplex Internet’s existing office building off Pemberville Road in Luckey, which Miller Diversified Construction built in 2017.
Amplex will use the new warehouse building for material storage and as a staging area each morning where the technicians fill their trucks with cable, tools, and other equipment to prep for their field installations and service calls scheduled for the day. The warehouse is laid out in a pull-through style so the service trucks can drive through the rear storage yard, into the building through the south overhead door, pull through the building and load up for the day, and exit through the north overhead door. This makes for a seamless, time-saving process for the company.
COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
This construction project ran seamlessly in all aspects. The building was turned over to the owner more than 1 month ahead of schedule, and final costs came in 10% under budget. Because of our team using a CM (Construction Manager) approach versus a GC (General Contractor) approach, the project savings were able to be passed along to the owner. This is a good example of how a CM approach really can benefit our clients.
The project benefited from expert local trade contractors including OCP for general trades, Gurtzweiler for steel erection, Commercial Comfort for HVAC, K&K Construction for concrete/masonry, Todd Alspaugh & Associates for site work, and Meyer Electric for the electrical work. Shout out to Miller Diversified’s superintendent on the job, Ken Lewis, who ensured that all work was completed quickly, professionally, and to the highest standards.
Miller Diversified appreciates partnerships with commercial construction clients like Mark Radabaugh. The biggest compliment we can receive is being granted another project by a former client!
